Our Cycling holiday tour portfolio has expanded greatly over the last 2 years so to insure our bike quality, comfort and consistency for you we have invested in a new bike fleet. These bikes will initially be available for our cycling trips South of Ireland.

As the leading cycling tour provider in Ireland we make it so simple, all you have to do is turn up and cycle, the planning, routes, accommodation and luggage transfers are all taken care of for you. No need to worry about the hassle of bringing your bike to Ireland as we will provide exceptional quality bikes for you to enjoy.

A lot of people worry whether they will be fit enough for a biking holiday but our fleet caters to a range of abilities and fitness levels.

Rental Hybrid Bikes

Our Lead bike on this tour is the Specialised Sirrus Sport Hybrid. The Sirrus Sport Disc with fitness geometry provides flat bar handling so you can ride faster on longer rides with stability and comfort, perfect for touring Ireland over a number of days. The hydraulic disc brakes mean you’ll have confidence to ride regardless of the weather or what you are carrying on your racks, perfect for Ireland where you get 4 seasons in one day.

The Body Geometry Targa Sport saddle makes for a sporty yet comfortable cycle. Our tours are measured in one, two or three wheels with three wheels being the most difficult. The Specialised Sirrus Sport is especially good for a 3 wheel difficulty tour like the West Cork Coast Classic.

Rental Road Bikes

You can also have the option of the BMC City Streamer. With its more upright riding position this is a very comfortable bike to ride and with 30 gears to choose from and hydraulic disc brakes so you can go down to a granny gear and save your knees, and you won’t have any problem on any climb or descent.

The Fizik Rondine saddle has extra padding for a very comfy ride. If you’re a little less experienced this bike is for you. We’d recommend trying it out on our Ring of Kerry tour.

Cycling is a great way to travel around Ireland, you can cover a lot of ground but you’ll see more than you would on a tour bus. Plus you have the freedom to stop and see whatever you like, meet the locals on the roadside or pop into a little shop or café, of which there are plenty on the Ring of Kerry!

Rental eBikes

We also have a limited number of Electric bikes available for our guests if you wish to ride with ease and in comfort. You can tackle anything with the Giant Twist, no more groaning as hills are flattened, assisted pedal power is the future of uncomplicated mobility.

The all-new Twist Lite features a new slimmer front hub motor, an ALUXX Aluminium frame and internal power cable routing, control, speed and safety are quite literally no sweat. Having different bikes available means we can carter to groups of different cycling levels so families or groups of friends feel contented biking together.

Luggage during your stay

Your luggage will be transferred between accommodations for you but to help your carry whatever you need on your daily journey we provide front handle bar bag and rear pannier bags, these are fully optional should you not what them.

Bike bags are generally a lot more comfortable than back packs and your back will be less sweaty if you do use them. Each bike is equipped with a bottle cage you can keep hydrated on your journey and a spare tube, repair kit with tire levers, pump and bike lock are all provided to make the journey a little easier.

Cycling Safety in Ireland

If it’s your first time cycling in Ireland we cycle on the left side of the road with the flow of traffic. There aren’t many cycle lanes on the country roads but you will find some in bigger towns. A lot of people cycle in Ireland and traffic is used to sharing the road with cyclists. The road safety authority in Ireland give advice for cyclists which is practical advice and worth having a look at.

Our client’s safety is our number one priority so we provide high visibility vests and helmets. Some people opt to bring their own helmets with them, it’s a personal choice but you just have to let us know you have your own when you’re collecting your bike.

The only thing our cyclists need to know is a general knowledge of the function of bicycles, i.e. how to change gears, how to brake properly, replacing a slipped chain, changing a flat tire. But really you never forget these things – it’s like riding a bike!

Safety is important but we’re very committed to making sure you have a great and memorable holiday so there will be plenty opportunities for delicious food, photo opportunities, sightseeing and leisure time too. Also it’s reassuring to know that even if you’ve never been to Ireland before we’re only a phone call away to help if you’re lost or have any questions or problems!

We want you to have a wheelie good time cycling! 🙂
